A powerful severe weather system swept through the U.S. Midwest and Great Lakes region on April 14–15, bringing tornadoes, giant hail, damaging winds, and widespread flooding to multiple states. In Milwaukee, heavy rains on Wednesday evening prompted the closure of Interstate 43 and left streets impassable across the city. At American Family Field, rain leaked through the retractable roof during the Milwaukee Brewers game against the Toronto Blue Jays.
